Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Merdan Celik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Mill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Merdan Celik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Drake Mill!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Celik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mill counters with a stiff right hand.
Mill is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Celik lunges at Mill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mill's hand.
Celik looks to score with a jab to the body but Mill is just out of range.
A big left from Celik misses.
Celik throws a shot from downtown. Mill moves away and avoids it.
Celik works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Celik scores with a sloppy right hand. Mill should have avoided that one.
Mill takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mill connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Celik misses with a hook. Mill ducked under it nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mill! But no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Celik is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Mill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Celik is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Fallen Warriors Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Mill is nestled in close to Celik, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mill is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Mill is keen to just control but Celik is a slippery customer.

Mill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mill wants to take a breather but Celik is having none of it.

Mill looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Mill is thwarting Celik's attempts to control the position.
Celik is refusing to be controlled, as Mill sits in half guard.
Mill looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Celik with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Celik throws a body punch but Mill moves out of range.
Celik uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mill.
Celik's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mill under the eye.

Celik has his takedown stuffed
and Mill counters with a nice uppercut.
Celik misses with a straight left.
Mill ducks under a wild hook from Celik.
Mill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Celik swings widly with a right hand
and Mill counters with a stiff right hand.
Celik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mill swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Merdan Celik. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Celik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mill lands a jab.
Mill takes the fight into the clinch.

Mill gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Celik.
Mill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mill misses with a double jab.
Celik misses with a lunging right hand
and Mill counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Celik misses with an uppercut
and Mill counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Celik is rocked!
Merdan Celik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Celik switches off momentarily and Mill cracks him with a monster right hand! Celik topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Mill dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Mill!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Drake Mill!
