Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Han Solo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Seek and Destroy as his entrance music. Han Solo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nathan King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Han Solo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan King! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Solo as he jumps to the side. King looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Solo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Solo misses with a wild combination.
Solo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage. Solo landing knees to the head.
It looks like Nathan King has been cut. King is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Han Solo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan King. Solo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but King regains guard immediately. Solo trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Solo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Check out the look on Solo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Solo is putting a hurting on King here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solo moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Solo advances to mount. Solo working King over with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Solo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Solo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Solo lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solo is landing with some decent strikes but King is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Solo with the ground and pound from mount. Solo looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Solo prevents King from getting the reversal. Solo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Solo is landing with some decent strikes but King is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Solo has hold of King's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and King manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Solo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as King is looking to escape. Solo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. King can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
King is looking to get to half guard. Solo trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Solo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. King tries to reverse the position but Solo maintains control. Solo avoids the attempt from King to control. King can't escape the position.
Solo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
King tries to reverse the position but Solo maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Han Solo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nathan King's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Solo lands a lovely overhand right. King has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from King there as he acknowledges the shot. King has a takedown stuffed. King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Solo.
Solo fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Solo displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Solo darts in and clinches King up against the cage. Solo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet. Solo content to stall in guard here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. King looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Solo passes into side control.
Solo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Solo wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. King is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Solo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. King makes his way to full guard. A much better position for King. Solo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard. King throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. King wants to stand and escape but Solo is having none of it. King looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Solo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. King tries to roll over but Solo keeps him under control. Solo escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Solo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Solo. King is looking to sinch up a triangle. Solo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to King's body to avoid the submission. King has instead reached around Solo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! King arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Nathan King!
