Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brynden Epicity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puch has chosen I Am The Killer Of Trolls as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brynden Epicity! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Robledo Puch! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puch connects with a jab. Epicity walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Brynden Epicity has been cut. Epicity tries to sprawl but Puch drives through with a takedown into half guard. Epicity is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Blackthorn that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Puch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Puch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Epicity's head. Puch working over Epicity with some ground and pound. Epicity looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Puch thows a huge punch but Epicity dodges it nicely.
Nice strikes from Puch there. Epicity wants to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Puch in particular looking to stall. Puch missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puch is nestled in close to Epicity, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Epicity is looking to control Puch's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Epicity avoid being mounted? Still in half guard, Puch seems content to control. Puch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Puch throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Epicity trying to hold on to Puch's head to control him but Puch postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Epicity misses. Robledo Puch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Epicity swings and misses with a shot to the body and Puch counters with a nice double leg into guard. Puch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Puch postures up.
Epicity is really struggling to control Puch but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puch wants to control from the top but Epicity keeps moving. Puch looking to pass the guard. Puch trying to control but Epicity is working from the bottom. Puch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Epicity works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Puch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Epicity works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Puch throws a strike but Epicity rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Puch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Epicity is aware though and is defending well. Puch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Epicity can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Epicity trying to control but Puch is working from the bottom. Our spies down at at Zero Tolerance inform us that Puch has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Puch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Epicity defends well. Epicity wants to control from the top but Puch keeps moving. Puch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Epicity postures up.

Epicity scores with a head kick. Puch tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Puch on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Epicity. Epicity obviously looking to wear him down.
Puch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Epicity to the mat! Epicity manages to get full guard. Epicity pushes Puch off and scrambles back to his feet.
Puch fails with a takedown attempt. Puch tries for a takedown but Epicity sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Puch scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Puch connects with a crisp jab. Puch throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Epicity sees it coming and avoids it easily. Puch shoots for a takedown but Epicity saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. It appears Epicity was looking to counter with a kick there. Brynden Epicity has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robledo Puch. Puch pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice uppercut there from Puch. Puch shoots in and drives through. Epicity sprawls well. Epicity feinted there with a counter leg kick. Puch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Epicity but Epicity pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Epicity throws a looping overhand right but Puch ducks down to avoid it. Epicity throws a front kick that sends Puch stumbling back into the cage. Puch shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Epicity is trying to defend but Puch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Epicity is trying to control but Puch manages to pass to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Puch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Epicity that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Puch is taking a breather. Epicity says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Puch is trying to control. Epicity wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Epicity is doing well to control the position and prevent Puch from advancing to side control. Puch not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Epicity tried to score with a low kick but Puch checks it. Epicity slips under a jab from Puch. Puch throws a looping overhand right but Epicity ducks down to avoid it. Puch dives in and grabs Epicity's left leg, looking for a takedown. Epicity pushes down on Puch's head and hops out. Epicity swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A kick lands to the mid section there for Epicity. Epicity throws a head kick but Puch moves out of range.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brynden Epicity will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brynden Epicity's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Puch tries to bum rush Epicity with a series of wild strikes but Epicity uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Epicity missing with a left hand there. He shot from a bit too far out. As Puch looks to move away, Epicity throws a big counter combo but Puch just gets out of the way. Epicity staying out of range there. Nice uppercut there from Puch. Epicity ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puch moves away. No luck for Puch with that takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puch might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Epicity looks to score with a jab to the body but Puch is just out of range. Puch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Puch wants to pass to mount but Epicity is defending the position. Puch missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Epicity wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Puch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Puch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Epicity defends it nicely. Epicity tried to counter with a leg kick but Puch avoided it. A telegraphed right hand from Puch misses the target. Epicity cracks Puch with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Puch lands a slapping body shot.

Epicity throws a front kick that sends Puch stumbling back into the cage. Puch lands with a cross. Epicity ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brynden Epicity. I think Epicity has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
