Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Thomson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans rushes Thomson and presses him up against the cage.
Come on Evans - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Evans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Evans tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Thomson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Evans's guard.
Evans on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Evans tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evans had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thomson defends it easily.
Thomson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thomson won't allow Evans to sweep him here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Thomson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Evans, pushing him back against the cage.
Evans can't get the takedown.
Thomson is looking for a takedown.
Evans is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Thomson can't fight it off and eventually Evans manages to take the fight to the floor. Thomson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tyler Thomson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A little feinted left hand from Evans on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Thomson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Evans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thomson somewhat.

Nice uppercut lands for Thomson. That snapped Evans's head back.
Thomson misses with a low kick.
Thomson throws a head kick that misses.
Evans attempts a counter takedown but Thomson avoids it well and moves away.
Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomson tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Evans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thomson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Thomson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
