The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tweedie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nunes on his heels. He'll look to pass Nunes's guard now, I'm sure.

and Tweedie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nunes's knee momentarily.

Nunes closes the distance and clinches up with Tweedie, looking for a takedown. Nunes pushes Tweedie against the cage but Tweedie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Tweedie. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tweedie.

and Tweedie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nunes's knee momentarily.
Tweedie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tweedie lands in his opponent's guard.

Nunes has an active guard here but Tweedie has managed to pass into half guard.

Let's hope that Tweedie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Nunes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tweedie on the ground.
