The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silveira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bedford to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bedford trying to control but Silveira is working from the bottom.
Silveira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bedford on the ground.
Silveira is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bedford is controlling him.
Silveira on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silveira tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bedford trying to control the position from guard on top but Silveira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bedford postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Silveira leaves Bedford with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bedford moves to clinch but Silveira breaks away
and Bedford takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bedford is trying to pull guard but Silveira turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Silveira lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Silveira lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Bedford is rocked!
Silveira steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Bedford is out on his feet! Silveira sets himself and nearly takes Bedford's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
