Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Prykti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Chops (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Prykti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Chops! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prykti just misses with a punch to the body.
Prykti throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Chops looks gassed! Prykti closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prykti lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Prykti tries to stand but Chops is controlling from the bottom. Prykti throwing strikes but missing. Prykti wanted to stand there but Chops had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chops preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Prykti lands a couple of digs. Prykti is stalling in the full guard. Prykti trying to control but Chops is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Prykti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Prykti gets the takedown into side control. Prykti throws an elbow but Chops slips to the side and avoids it well. Prykti happy to just control the position for now. Chops gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prykti lands a heavy elbow. Prykti lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Prykti trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chops wants to control but Prykti is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prykti looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Prykti raining down shots from the mount! Prykti moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Chops has worked his arm free - good work by Chops!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Prykti dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Chops fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Prykti, pushing him back against the cage. Prykti manages to break the clinch.
Prykti lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Prykti.
It looks like Matt Chops has been cut. Chops is looking to clinch but Prykti is avoiding it.
Prykti tries to close the distance and clinch but Chops swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Chops lands a front kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prykti. A telegraphed right hand from Chops misses the target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chops is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Prykti moves into the clinch. Chops missing with knees to the body.

Prykti lands with a light punch inside. Prykti is looking to break free of the clinch but Chops has double underhooks. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Chops as Prykti tries to tie him up. Prykti jumps guard but Chops stands there with Prykti around his waist. Prykti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Prykti lands a nice shot to the body. Chops lands a knee to the body.
Chops using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Prykti has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Prykti tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chops just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Prykti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Prykti fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chops stops a takedown attempt from Prykti.
Prykti is working for takedown but Chops is calmly controlling the position for now. Knees in the clinch landing for Chops.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Prykti wants to control from the top but Chops keeps moving. Prykti stands up from Chops's guard - Prykti perhaps looking for a knockout. Prykti takes the fight into the clinch. Prykti content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Chops tries a knee to the head but Prykti blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chops lands a damaging elbow. Prykti can't break the clinch.
Prykti tries to land knees in the clinch but Chops avoids the damage to the body. Prykti is trying to drag Chops to the mat but Chops just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Chops lands an elbow inside that Prykti shrugs off. Prykti on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Chops creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Prykti's defenses. Chops with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Prykti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Prykti keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice defenses there by Chops. Andre Prykti is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Prykti fails in his attempt to clinch. Chops has a takedown stuffed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Prykti dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Matt Chops's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Prykti doesn't manage to clinch there - Chops circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chops looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Prykti has his takedown stuffed and Chops counters with a single leg into guard. Prykti didn't expect that. Prykti looking to control.
Prykti is adopting a defensive guard. Chops with a nice head shot there. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prykti pulls Chops in close to prevent any damage. Prykti is trying to keep Chops in close.
Prykti wants to control the position but Chops says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Prykti is pressing down on Chops's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Prykti looking for a guillotine here but Chops defends easily.

Prykti is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prykti has his foot on Chops's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chops works his way back into a safe position though. Prykti wants to get back to his feet but Chops passes into half guard.
Prykti is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Prykti trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Prykti wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Prykti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chops circles away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chops shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Matt Chops has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andre Prykti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Prykti is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Chops comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Prykti has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
