Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Joshua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blade Runner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Project Joshua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Blade Runner!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Joshua. No joy for Runner on that attempt.
Joshua attempts a counter takedown but Runner avoids it well and moves away.
Joshua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Runner avoids it really well and circles away.
Runner misses with a wild body shot.
A swing and a miss from Joshua.
Runner misses with a body kick.
Runner lands a head shot.
Runner looks for the body kick but Joshua saw that one coming.
Joshua is looking to counter with a body kick.
Runner misses with a two punch combination.
Runner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joshua.

Joshua on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Runner takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Project Joshua has been cut.

Joshua shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Runner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Runner can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Joshua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Runner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Joshua bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Runner's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Runner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Runner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Runner tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Joshua throws an elbow that misses. Runner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Joshua's guard. Nice move by Runner!

Runner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Runner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Joshua manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Runner manages to get himself to full guard.

Joshua has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Joshua throws an elbow but Runner slips to the side and avoids it well.
Joshua postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Joshua throwing strikes but Runner manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Joshua keeps Runner under control for a moment.
Joshua tries to bench press Runner off him but Runner keeps the position.
Runner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Joshua some visible discomfort.

Runner tries for a kimura but Joshua is defending well.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Blade Runner will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Project Joshua's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Runner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Joshua scoring well with a low kick there.
Joshua throws a half hearted mid kick.
A nice side step and Runner releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Runner.

Joshua drives through with a takedown into guard.
Runner looking to control.
Joshua throwing strikes but missing.
Runner trying to keep a closed guard but Joshua is proving a slippery customer.
Joshua wants to control from the top but Runner keeps moving.

Joshua works his foot free and advances to mount.
Runner wants to control but Joshua is having none of it.
Joshua lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Joshua fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Runner is rocked!
Joshua softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Runner is out cold! Joshua jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Project Joshua!
