Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mel Huff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quest drives through and clinches with Huff against the cage.

Quest has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Huff regains guard immediately.
Huff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quest pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Huff is keeping the position for now.
Huff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Huff is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quest is trying to control the position but Huff postures up.
Huff postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Huff throws a big right hand that misses.
Quest striking off his back but it's not causing Huff any problems.
Huff throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Quest wants to sweep here but Huff controlling him for the moment.
Huff keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Quest's head.
Huff is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Quest fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Huff to the ground. Quest is now in Huff's guard.

Huff utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Quest stands up and waves to Huff to follow him.

Quest with the ground and pound but Huff regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Quest content to control rather than advance.

Quest is looking to take a break and control but Huff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Huff is controlling Quest's trapped leg to prevent Quest from advancing to side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Quest takes the fight into the clinch.
Huff tries to work over Quest's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Quest changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Huff looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Quest has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Quest tries for a kimura but Huff is defending well.

Quest decides to stand back up. Quest steps back and let's Huff get back to his feet.

Quest blocks a head kick by Huff.

Quest feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Quest stops Huff from standing up.
Quest sitting in guard here, content to control.
Quest is pushing down on Huff's leg trying to pass to half guard. Huff is fighting to maintain full guard but Quest has managed to sneak the leg through.
Quest thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Huff's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Quest has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Quest seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Huff does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Quest is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Huff is just riding it out for now. Quest eventually gives up the hold.

Huff tries to keep at a distance but Quest has taken the fight into the clinch.
Quest is looking to break free of the clinch but Huff has double underhooks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Quest is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Huff can't fight it off and eventually Quest manages to take the fight to the floor. Huff looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Quest has gone for a leg lock! Huff slips out almost immediately though and dives into Quest's guard.

Quest might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Huff haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well Quest has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
