Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mighty Manlet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rolando Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mighty Manlet!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Manlet uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Randall.
Manlet with the counter takedown but Randall avoids it easily.
Randall cracks Manlet with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Randall misses with a hook

and Manlet counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Randall looking to control but Manlet passes into half guard.
Manlet seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Manlet is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Randall wants to get back to his feet but Manlet is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Randall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Manlet avoids a punch combination nicely.
Randall throws a poor cross that misses

Randall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Manlet is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Randall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mighty Manlet will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A looping hook to the body misses from Randall. Manlet does a little dance to reset his feet.
Randall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manlet moves away.
Manlet is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Randall rushes Manlet and presses him up against the cage.
Randall tries to stall but Manlet uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Randall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Manlet feints the counter takedown.
Randall misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Manlet counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Manlet stops Randall from getting back to his feet.

Manlet is taking a breather. Randall says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Randall is trying to control but can't.
Randall pushes Manlet off looking to stand but Manlet dives back in and keeps control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Mighty Manlet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Randall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Manlet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Manlet in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Randall wants to control but Manlet is keeping busy.
Randall pushes Manlet off looking to stand but Manlet dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Randall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manlet sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Manlet counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Randall!
Manlet is staying tight to Randall's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Randall tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Randall is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Randall is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Manlet avoids the attempt from Randall to control.
Manlet has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mighty Manlet has got the better of the ground game so far.

Randall is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Manlet sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Randall wants to hold on but Manlet pushes him away.
Randall trying desperately to get to his feet.
Randall tries to lock up and control but Manlet gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mighty Manlet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
