The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hazier tries to close the distance and clinch but Monson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Monson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Hazier fails to land with a series of punches.
Monson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Monson trying to mount his opponent but Hazier defends it.
Monson works his way into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
