Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Duhrover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duhrover has chosen Doggystyle as his entrance music. Kaice Gunn had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Kaice Gunn has been cut.
Gunn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duhrover manages to avoid it.
Duhrover lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Gunn scores with a sloppy right hand. Duhrover should have avoided that one.

Gunn darts in and clinches Duhrover up against the cage.

Gunn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It seemed like Duhrover was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Duhrover.
Gunn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Gunn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gunn has his foot on Duhrover's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duhrover works his way back into a safe position though.
