Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Odenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thor Odenson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Odenson. Odenson pushes Thomas away with a front kick. Jab by Odenson. Nice straight punches there by Odenson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Odenson. Odenson connects with a looping right hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Odenson. Odenson drops Thomas with a beautiful combination! Thomas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Odenson is looking for the KO!
It looks like Jake Thomas has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Odenson swats him away and circles back towards the center. As Thomas backs off Odenson throws a huge counter combo but Thomas manages to avoid it all. Odenson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thomas doesn't seem bothered though. Thomas is breathing heavily. Odenson is looking to slow Thomas down with leg kicks. Thomas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Odenson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Odenson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Odenson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Thomas is rocked! Odenson closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Thomas out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thor Odenson! Thor Odenson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
