The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly throws out a leg kick but Calirante moves out of range and Kelly only half commits.

Calirante lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kelly takes a step back to recover.

Kelly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Calirante can pounce on him.

It looks like Kelly has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Kelly with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Calirante to score with a decent uppercut.

Calirante tries a quick counter leg kick but Kelly is wise to it.

George Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Kelly tenderised Calirante's leg. Calirante is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kelly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calirante manages to avoid it.
Kelly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Calirante can do to turn this around?

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Calirante might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kelly has got the better of the exchanges.

No joy there for Calirante, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Calirante counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kelly get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Kelly stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Calirante runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Santiago Calirante was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
