Zapata has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Eduardo Zapata is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Templar leaves Zapata with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Good standup being displayed there by Templar as he connects with a hook.
Zapata dives in for a single leg takedown but Templar sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Phoenix Templar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eduardo Zapata.
Horrible takedown attempt by Zapata or perhaps it was just good defense by Templar, which made it look bad.

Zapata gets a double leg takedown into Templar's guard.
Templar controls Zapata momentarily but Zapata frees himself.
Zapata trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zapata stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Templar has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Zapata manages to get his head free but now Templar has transitioned to an armbar! Zapata grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Templar! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
