PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clint Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chiun Remo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartwright kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Total Domination. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chiun Remo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cartwright is nestled in close to Remo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Remo has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cartwright seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Remo can turn it around.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Cartwright here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Cartwright is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cartwright looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Remo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Remo is refusing to be controlled, as Cartwright sits in half guard.

Cartwright in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Remo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cartwright!

Clint Cartwright seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Chiun Remo was interviewed post fight and said 'i cant understand this result !!! '.
