Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diamond Dollar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Eddard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Diamond Dollar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Eddard!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Eddard enables Dollar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Eddard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dollar throwing strikes from guard but Eddard blocks nicely.
Dollar is pushing down on Eddard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Eddard is fighting to maintain full guard but Dollar has managed to sneak the leg through.
Eddard is trying to maintain the position but Dollar is very close to passing his half guard.
Dollar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eddard's head.
Eddard preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Eddard wants to get back to full guard.
Dollar not landing any meaningful shots this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eddard trying to hold on to Dollar's head to control him but Dollar postures up.
Dollar is looking to advance position but Eddard won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dollar works his way into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eddard wants to hold on but Dollar pushes him away.
Eddard is squirming around, avoiding Dollar's attempts to control the action.

Dollar throws some wild stikes that Eddard manages to avoid easily.
Dollar thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Dollar lands a big shot there that rocks Eddard but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Eddard keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Dollar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dollar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dollar wants to control the pace but Eddard is squirming around nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eddard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dollar throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Eddard regains half guard.
Dollar is nestled in close to Eddard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Eddard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Eddard desperately trying to maintain half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice strikes from Dollar there.
Dollar works his foot free and advances to mount.
Dollar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Eddard hang on?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Eddard holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dollar tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dollar lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Eddard! Dollar sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Eddard and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Diamond Dollar!
Our winner, Diamond Dollar, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
