PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Szymon Piechnicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Zertiis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piechnicki comes into the arena with Shantel - Disko Partizani blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piechnicki gets caught napping as Zertiis dives in and scores a takedown. Piechnicki manages to retain guard.
Zertiis sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Zertiis works over Piechnicki with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zertiis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zertiis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Piechnicki looks a forlorn figure.
Piechnicki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zertiis on the ground.
Poor strikes thrown by Zertiis there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Zertiis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Zertiis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Zertiis unloads with some shots from mount but Piechnicki bucks and avoids them well.

Piechnicki is in a horrible position here. Zertiis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Zertiis is landing with some decent strikes but Piechnicki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Piechnicki is rocked!
Zertiis looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Piechnicki covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
