Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson blocks an elbow strike.

Jackson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Davidson is trying to keep an underhook but Jackson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Davidson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davidson manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Davidson's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Davidson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jackson is staying active underneath Davidson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jackson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Davidson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackson, into his guard.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davidson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jackson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Davidson uses it to pass to side control.
Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davidson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davidson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Jackson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Jackson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Davidson dives on top into guard.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jackson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Davidson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Davidson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Davidson!

Jackson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Davidson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruce Jackson.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
