PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Bilashki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson comes into the arena with 2pac - Uppercut blaring out of the sound system. Bilashki has chosen The Warriors of Skyrim as his entrance music. Jon Bilashki acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jon Bilashki!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tyson throws a lazy right hand but Bilashki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tyson throws a head kick that misses.
Tyson pushes Bilashki away with a front kick.
Tyson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bilashki cracks Tyson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bilashki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tyson works the jab nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bilashki takes a swing at Tyson's ribcage but misses.
Tyson throws a head kick but Bilashki moves out of range.
Bilashki moves out of range as Tyson strikes.
Bilashki wants to counter the offense by Tyson and move into the clinch position.
Bilashki slips under a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bilashki avoids a kick to the body.
A solid body kick from Bilashki.
Tyson looks to throw the jab but Bilashki is out of range.
Bilashki looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bilashki tries to land a front kick but Tyson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bilashki is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.
Tyson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tyson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Decent striking displayed by Tyson there.
Tyson misses with a takedown attempt - Bilashki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bilashki as he avoids it easily.

Bilashki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyson, pushing him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice elbow from Bilashki.


It looks like Mike Tyson has been cut.

Bilashki successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bilashki lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tyson is adopting a defensive guard.
Tyson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson is trying to control the position but Bilashki postures up.
Tyson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Tyson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tyson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tyson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Bilashki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Tyson is looking to sweep but instead, Bilashki has passed into half guard.

Bilashki stands up out of the half guard.
Bilashki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bilashki tries to clinch but Tyson moves away

and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tyson connects with a nice short shot to Bilashki's temple.
Tyson wants to pass to mount but Bilashki is defending the position.
Tyson is nestled in close to Bilashki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bilashki missing with punches from the bottom.
Tyson wants to take a breather but Bilashki is having none of it.
Bilashki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tyson.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Tyson will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action!


Tyson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tyson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Tyson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mike Tyson is winning the standup battle so far.
Tyson throws a jab but it's blocked by Bilashki.
Bilashki tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Tyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tyson misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Tyson in side control lands a decent elbow.
Bilashki is trying to control Tyson's posture but Tyson avoids it.
Tyson is chipping away with strikes.
Tyson working the ground and pound from side control.
Bilashki takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Tyson controls the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tyson prevents Bilashki from escaping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson trying to control the action but Bilashki is working from the bottom.

Bilashki sneaks out the side door and pushes Tyson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bilashki lands a big head kick that sends Tyson tumbling to the mat! Bilashki takes a step backwards and waves Tyson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Bilashki counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Tyson out cold! What a finish! Bilashki is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Bilashki!
Jon Bilashki tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
