Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danny White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandoval has chosen Overseer - Slayed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felix Sandoval! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandoval shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sandoval has a takedown stuffed. White's corner calls for a 1-2. White obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. White misses with a wild body shot. Felix Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sandoval on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. White swings for the body but Sandoval moves out of range.
Sandoval lands a jab-cross combination. Sandoval shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily. Danny White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Sandoval. Sandoval works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Sandoval avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Sandoval takes one on the button. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sandoval is defended easily by White. This has been an exciting period of action! Sandoval shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. White clinches up with Sandoval and pushes him back against the cage. Sandoval is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables White to keep the fight standing. White has picked Sandoval up - he's going for a ride! White dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. White lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. White is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
White slows the pace down in half guard. White wants to advance to full mount but Sandoval doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandoval controls White momentarily but White frees himself. White has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. White wants to control from the top but Sandoval keeps moving. Sandoval throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandoval pulls White in to control the position. White slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sandoval stops White from passing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sandoval keeps working. White has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sandoval! White pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round. White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sandoval is looking to escape. White has hold of Sandoval's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sandoval manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
White avoids the attempt from Sandoval to control. White with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. White trying to control but Sandoval is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandoval shoots in and gets a takedown into White's guard. White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. White is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sandoval wants to get back to full guard. White is trying to control. Sandoval wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. White works his way into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandoval is in a horrible position here. White smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Danny White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. White trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sandoval is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. White seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sandoval is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. White lands a couple of good shots and Sandoval has given up his back, trying to escape the position! White scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Sandoval is looking for a way out. Sandoval is keeping busy.
White is landing with strikes. Sandoval can't take much more of this. White looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Sandoval is controlling White 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Danny White dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
White displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sandoval. White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sandoval can do to turn this around? Sandoval fails with a takedown attempt. White throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's going to take a lot out of Felix Sandoval. Sandoval tries for a takedown but White circles away easily and White counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandoval shoots in and drives through. White sprawls well. White throws a body shot but no joy. Thud! ouch! good body kick from White - that will leave a mark!

Danny White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. White scores with a takedown into Sandoval's guard. Sandoval looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. White engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. White wants to control from the top but Sandoval keeps moving. Danny White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sandoval keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Sandoval working for a triangle but White defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandoval fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but White avoids it really well and circles away. Sandoval drives through and clinches with White against the cage.

Felix Sandoval has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sandoval's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sandoval manages to get an easy takedown there - catching White on his heels. He'll look to pass White's guard now, I'm sure. White tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sandoval throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as White works some decent striking defense from the bottom. White looking to sweep here. No luck so far. White controlling Sandoval's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sandoval content to stall in guard here. White wants to sweep here but Sandoval controlling him for the moment. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. White working a defensive guard here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sandoval misses with a looping right. White slips under a jab.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Danny White. Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
