The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterson tries to keep at a distance but Long has taken the fight into the clinch.
Long tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Peterson misses with a punch on the inside.
Long can't break the clinch.
Long is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Peterson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Peterson tries to break the clinch but Long is controlling the position.
Peterson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Long.
Rick Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Long.
Long wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Peterson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peterson lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Marcus Long has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Peterson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Peterson wants to clinch.

Long tries to pull guard but Peterson won't allow it.

Long has had enough of the clinch but Peterson keeps him there for the moment.

Long drops down looking for an ankle pick but Peterson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Peterson clinches with his opponent.
Peterson lands a left hand.
Peterson lands a big right hand that drops Long! The killer instinct kicks in and Peterson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Peterson!
