Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Claude Lioneau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tukang Batubata! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lioneau looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lioneau shoots in and gets a takedown into Batubata's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Batubata can do anything to dispel that myth. Lioneau wants to control from the top but Batubata keeps moving. Lioneau drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lioneau jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lioneau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Batubata had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lioneau defends it easily. Lioneau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Batubata has eaten all the pies! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Batubata looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lioneau got a little sloppy there for a moment and Batubata has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lioneau has managed to get both his arms back between Batubata's legs - danger averted. Batubata looking for subs off his back but Lioneau has passed one foot through into half guard.

Lioneau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lioneau wants to control from the top but Batubata keeps moving. Batubata is trying to push Lioneau off with his feet but Lioneau grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Batubata's ankles and Batubata is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
