The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Degrizz misses with a wild body shot.
Ap Nudd feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Ap Nudd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Degrizz's head backwards.
Degrizz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ap Nudd.
Degrizz tries to clinch but Ap Nudd is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Degrizz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

It looks like Jim Degrizz has been cut.
Jim Degrizz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Degrizz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ap Nudd as he jumps to the side.
Ap Nudd is looking to counter with head kicks.

and Degrizz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Degrizz darts in trying to clinch
and Ap Nudd counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Ap Nudd seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Ap Nudd closes the distance and pushes Degrizz back into the cage.
Ap Nudd blocks the elbow strike.
Ap Nudd goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Ap Nudd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ap Nudd lands a big head kick that sends Degrizz tumbling to the mat! Ap Nudd takes a step backwards and waves Degrizz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Ap Nudd counters with a nice body kick.

Edern Ap Nudd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Degrizz.
