Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Wad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaly Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin has chosen Russian National Anthem as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Vitaly Karelin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vitaly Karelin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Wad finds it's target.
Wad takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Karelin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Karelin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wad manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wad. Karelin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karelin is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Karelin feints and as Wad raises his hands in defense, Karelin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wad pulls Karelin in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wad is trying to hold Karelin in close to prevent damage but Karelin has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Karelin fails with the takedown.
Wad swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Karelin misses with a takedown attempt - Wad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Karelin lands a jab to Wad's midsection.

Karelin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wad to the ground. Karelin is now in Wad's guard.
Wad on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wad tries to get out of the position.

Vitaly Karelin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Highland Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
