Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Wattson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wattson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Weapon Of Choice - Fatboy Slim. Ron Wattson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ron Wattson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Philip Dale! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wattson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Ron Wattson has been cut. Wattson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wattson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dale avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Wattson shoots in for a takedown but Dale shows good takedown defense. Wattson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dale.
Wattson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dale misses with a double jab.
Ron Wattson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wattson throws a hook to the side of Dale's head but Dale sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Wattson fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Wattson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dale walks into a jab.
It looks like Philip Dale has been cut. Dale moves out of range of the body kick. Dale scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Good shot there by Dale.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wattson misses with a hook. Dale ducked under it nicely. Dale scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wattson is breathing heavily. Wattson dodges the punch combination from Dale.
Dale drops Wattson with a left right combo! Dale follows him down to the ground into side control.
Wattson is rocked!
Ron Wattson's cut is getting worse. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dale takes a little break here. Wattson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wattson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dale decides to stand back up. Dale steps back and let's Wattson get back to his feet. Dale lands a left and a right that sends Wattson crashing to the canvas! Dale dives into mount looking to finish! Oh Wattson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ron Wattson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dale looking to control and managing it successfully. Wattson seems to have got his legs back now. Wattson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Wattson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wattson tries to get out of the position. Dale wants to stand but Wattson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Dale is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wattson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Dale pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wattson trying to hold on to Dale's head to control him but Dale postures up.
Wattson is looking for a sweep. Dale is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wattson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dale prevents Wattson from improving his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wattson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wattson gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wattson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Dale is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dale pushes Wattson off looking to stand but Wattson dives back in and keeps control.
Wattson wants to control but Dale is keeping him busy. Wattson is working for a kimura but Dale is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wattson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Philip Dale dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dale keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wattson. Dale takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wattson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Dale checks it well. Dale throws a right hand that Wattson ducks under and follows up with a left that Wattson also avoids with ease. Wattson shoots for a double leg takedown but Dale sprawls well. He's pushed Wattson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wattson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dale is fending him off so far but Wattson persists. Nope, Dale circles away and we're back to standing. Wattson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dale counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Danga de danga de dang - Dale scores with a four punch combination! Philip Dale seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dale lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jeez, Ron Wattson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ron Wattson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Philip Dale!
