Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leon Will Westernfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Tripplet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leon Will Westernfield!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Tripplet!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Tripplet.
Westernfield is looking to counter the offense by Tripplet and move into the clinch.

Westernfield takes the fight into the clinch.
Tripplet is trying to stall.

Tripplet's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tripplet connects with the punch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Westernfield moves into full mount! Tripplet won't be happy about that!

Westernfield has control of Tripplet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tripplet regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tripplet is looking to get to half guard.
Westernfield looking to control but Tripplet is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tripplet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Westernfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tripplet is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Westernfield has taken his back.

You can see the frustration on Tripplet's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Westernfield is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Tripplet is defending well though. Westernfield let's go of the attempt for now.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tripplet felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tripplet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Westernfield moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Westernfield closes the distance and clinches up with Tripplet, looking for a takedown. Westernfield pushes Tripplet against the cage but Tripplet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tripplet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Bruce Tripplet will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tripplet fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Westernfield square on the jaw! Damn, Westernfield is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
