Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Jones Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pierce Quincy!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quincy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jones Jr loads up on a big right hand but Quincy slips the punch.
Jones Jr smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jones Jr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones Jr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Quincy.
Jones Jr has his takedown stuffed
enabling Quincy to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Quincy tries to sprawl out of it but Jones Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quincy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Jones Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Quincy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Quincy counters with an inside leg kick.

and Quincy counters with a leg kick.
Jones Jr is breathing heavily.
Quincy plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Dennis Jones Jr has been cut.

Quincy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Both fighters circling a little - Quincy finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Quincy. Jones Jr shrugs it off though.
Jones Jr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Quincy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones Jr misses with a takedown
and Quincy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones Jr is rocked!

and Quincy counters with a body kick that stops Jones Jr in his tracks momentarily.
Quincy lands a big head kick that sends Jones Jr to the canvas! Quincy follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
