Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Light 'Em Up . Michael Alves has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves swings widly with a right hand
and Freeman counters with a straight right hand.
Alves is looking to clinch but Freeman is avoiding it.
Despite the aggression on Freeman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Alves throws a poor cross that misses
and Freeman counters with a straight right hand.
Alves takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Freeman ducks under a wild hook from Alves.
Alves fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Alves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Michael Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freeman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alves.
Alves shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Alves throws a chopping leg kick but Freeman manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves misses with a lunging right hand
and Freeman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alves misses the body punch
and Freeman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Alves throws a poor cross that misses
and Freeman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alves takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Freeman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Alves is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Freeman throws a pinpoint strike between Alves's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Alves crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Freeman scores a great knockout victory!
