Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nik Stalberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stout kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slaughterhouse-Wack MC's. Nik Stalberg has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Edward Stout's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Stout! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nik Stalberg! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stalberg throws out a loose jab but Stout uses good head movement to avoid it. Stalberg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stout manages to avoid it. A punch combination from Stalberg misses. Stalberg throws out a powerful jab. Stout walks into a left hand.
It looks like Edward Stout has been cut. Stout on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Stout is rocked! Stalberg swings for the body but Stout moves out of range.
Oh Stout is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stout looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stout seems to have got his legs back now. Stalberg cracks Stout with an uppercut from hell and Stout crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Stalberg's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Stout is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stout has a closed guard, preventing Stalberg from standing up. Stout working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stalberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stalberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stout is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stout bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stalberg's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stout pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stalberg is keeping the position for now. Stalberg scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Stalberg lands the left hand. Stalberg misses with a wild combination.
Stalberg scores with a nice right hand.
Stout with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stalberg throws a right and a left that both miss. Stalberg moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Stalberg misses with a wild combination.
Stalberg misses with a looping right. Stout really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stout misses with a body kick. Stalberg lands a glancing blow to the side of Stout's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stout tries for a takedown but Stalberg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stout keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stalberg. Stalberg throws a looping overhand right but Stout ducks down to avoid it. Stout will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stout looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Stout throws a big right hand that misses. Stout works a leg free and moves into half guard. Stout is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Stout is breathing heavily. Stout is trying to work for a kimura but Stalberg is defending well.
Stalberg tries to kick Stout off but Stout keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Stout wants to control but Stalberg is keeping him busy. Stalberg wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stalberg blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stout. Stout wants to work for an arm triangle but Stalberg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stout trying to mount his opponent but Stalberg defends it. Stout stops Stalberg from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stalberg misses with a double jab.
Stalberg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stout circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stout scores a takedown into full mount! Stout thowing shots but they're missing. Stout is going olschool here, as he tries to force Stalberg to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stalberg shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nik Stalberg dominated that round. The cut man is working on Edward Stout's cut. That's time! Stout's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Stalberg scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Stalberg jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stalberg swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stalberg throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stout sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stalberg throws a series of punches but Stout moves out of range. Stalberg throws a body punch but Stout moves out of range. Stalberg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stalberg ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stout moves away. Stalberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Stout. Stout gets slowly back to his feet. Stout throws a hook to the side of Stalberg's head but Stalberg sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stalberg is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stout throws a sloppy head kick and Stalberg moves out of range easily. Stout showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stalberg.
Stalberg stuffs the takedown. Stout closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Stout prevents Stalberg from standing back up.
Stout is nestled in close to Stalberg, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stalberg is refusing to be controlled, as Stout sits in half guard. Stout tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stalberg knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Stout trying to control the action but Stalberg is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stout has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stout works his way into side control. Stalberg is trying to buck Stout off. Stout wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stalberg, who protects the arm well. Stout is trying to get an arm triangle but Stalberg is defending well. Stout trying to control the action but Stalberg is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalberg wants to get back to his feet but Stout drags him back down. Stout looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Stalberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stout. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stout has hold of Stalberg's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stalberg tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stout cranks the arm and Stalberg screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stalberg, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
