Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Teddington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Teddington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Valdez! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teddington tries to clinch up but Valdez circles away and keeps his distance. Bob Teddington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Teddington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valdez tries to avoid it but Teddington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valdez to the ground. Valdez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Teddington will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Teddington misses with a hook
and Valdez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Teddington won't be happy with that. Teddington is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Teddington is not content to let Valdez control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Teddington wants to control but Valdez postures up. Valdez controlling from side mount. Valdez trying to control the action but Teddington is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teddington tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Valdez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Valdez working away. Teddington is looking for a sweep. Teddington prevents Valdez from improving position. You can see the frustration on Teddington's face as Valdez controls the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Valdez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Valdez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Valdez trying to control the action but Teddington is working from the bottom. Teddington might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Teddington tries to buck Valdez off but Valdez is having none of it. Valdez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valdez wants to control but Teddington is keeping him busy. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Teddington tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Valdez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Valdez happy to just control the position for now. Teddington is looking to regain half guard here but Valdez keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Valdez advances to mount. Valdez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Teddington tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Valdez wants to take Teddington's back but he can't do it this time. Valdez tries to control but Teddington wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Valdez dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Valdez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Teddington darts in looking for a takedown but Valdez gets double underhooks and turns Teddington into the ropes. Valdez feints the counter takedown. Valdez dives in and scores a takedown into Teddington's guard. Valdez passes Teddington's left leg - he's now in half guard. Valdez moves into full mount! Teddington won't be happy about that! Valdez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Valdez wants to take Teddington's back here but Teddington is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Valdez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Teddington is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Valdez locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Teddington is forced to tap!
