The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bwarnt throws a body punch but Hales moves out of range. Hales shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hales showed some decent athleticism there. Hales stops Bwarnt from getting back to his feet.
Bwarnt is defending against the submission attempts here by Hales.
Hales is working for a kimura but Bwarnt is defending it quite comfortably.
Bwarnt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bwarnt tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hales throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bwarnt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hales is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
