Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kiyoshi Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Napiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamada comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Back. Kris Napiera has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kiyoshi Yamada's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napiera has a takedown stuffed.
Yamada with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Napiera to score with a decent uppercut.
Yamada scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Yamada fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Napiera manages to avoid it.
A combination from Yamada does no damage.

Napiera gets the takedown into side control.
Yamada is trying to improve his position.
Napiera controls the position.
Yamada holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Napiera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Napiera is stalling here. Yamada is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Napiera seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Yamada has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yamada stuffs the takedown attempt from Napiera. Napiera gets slowly back to his feet.
Napiera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yamada as he avoids it easily.

Yamada closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Yamada misses with the ground and pound.
Napiera is looking to reverse the position.
Napiera is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Yamada knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Napiera on the ground.
Yamada is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Napiera will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Napiera sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Well, if Yamada is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Napiera wants to control but Yamada is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiyoshi Yamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yamada walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Napiera throws a hook but Yamada blocks it.

Yamada ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Napiera moves away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Napiera walks into a left hand.
Napiera steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yamada.
Yamada throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yamada throws a looping overhand right but Napiera ducks down to avoid it.
Yamada jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Some wild striking there from Napiera.
Yamada throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Napiera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kiyoshi Yamada is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yamada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Napiera circles away quickly and effectively.

and Napiera counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Yamada thinking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Napiera looks to land a combination. Yamada sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Napiera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yamada as he avoids it easily.
Kiyoshi Yamada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Napiera.
Napiera doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Yamada counters with a nice uppercut.
A jab from Napiera finds it's way through Yamada's defenses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kris Napiera will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
