Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elbert Horne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Klay Snapp!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horne has taken the fight to the clinch.

Snapp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horne shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


Elbert Horne's cut is getting worse.

Horne drives through and clinches with Snapp against the cage.
Snapp blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Snapp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horne really is a fat lump.
Snapp throws a combination that misses

and Horne counters by moving into the clinch.
Horne slows down the pace here.
Horne working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Horne misses with a punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snapp working hard to break the clinch.
Horne is trying to pull guard but Snapp turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Klay Snapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Snapp moves into the clinch.
Come on Horne - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Snapp working hard to break the clinch.
Snapp's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Horne stalling in the clinch.
Horne unloads a knee to the mid-section. Snapp lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Snapp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snapp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Horne fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Snapp, pushing him back against the cage.
Horne tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Snapp just stands there and leans against the cage.

Horne pulls guard.
Horne is controlling Snapp's posture.

Snapp sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Horne doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Snapp paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Horne - great work!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Elbert Horne!
Klay Snapp was interviewed post fight and said 'It was a good fight and you haven't seen the last of me.'.
