Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyle Chipperson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joyo Kumlakar!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumlakar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chipperson as he jumps to the side.

Kumlakar gets a clinch.

Kumlakar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chipperson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kumlakar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chipperson misses with a takedown

and Kumlakar counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kumlakar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chipperson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Chipperson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kumlakar's efforts to push away.

Chipperson pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kumlakar showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Chipperson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kumlakar defends it easily.
Kumlakar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kumlakar has gone for a leg lock! Chipperson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kumlakar's guard.

Chipperson wants to pass the guard but Kumlakar is keeping the position.
Kumlakar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chipperson.
Chipperson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kumlakar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kumlakar has control of Chipperson's left arm, preventing Chipperson from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chipperson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kumlakar looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Chipperson drops back looking for a leg! Kumlakar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kumlakar manages to kick Chipperson off! Chipperson jumps back into Kumlakar's guard.
Kumlakar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chipperson is controlling him.
Chipperson wanted to stand there but Kumlakar had control of the position.

Kumlakar is looking to cinch up a triangle. Chipperson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kumlakar's body to avoid the submission. Kumlakar has instead reached around Chipperson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kumlakar arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Joyo Kumlakar!
Lyle Chipperson spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuckin' piece a gahbage...'.
