Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khal Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Valencia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drogo comes to the cage accompanied by Blessings - Big Sean FT Drake and Kanye West. Valencia has chosen High Road - Fort Minor, John Legend as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kai Valencia is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Khal Drogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valencia blocks a head kick by Drogo.
Valencia throws a head kick that misses.
Drogo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Valencia pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Drogo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Drogo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Drogo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Valencia has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Drogo shoots and misses
and Valencia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Drogo loads up on a big right hand but Valencia slips the punch.

Valencia connects with a good right hand that stumbles Drogo. Drogo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Drogo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drogo lands in his opponent's guard.
Valencia looking for a guillotine here but Drogo defends easily.
Valencia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Drogo controls the pace.
Drogo is pushing down on Valencia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Valencia is fighting to maintain full guard but Drogo has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valencia is positioning himself well to prevent Drogo advancing to mount.

Drogo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Valencia is letting Drogo control him for a moment.
Drogo throwing strikes but Valencia manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Valencia remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Valencia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drogo keeps working.
Drogo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Palace of Pain Gym - VCL - Rio, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Drogo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valencia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Drogo is nestled in close to Valencia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Drogo is taking a breather. Valencia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
