The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Jasperdek clinches with his opponent.
Jasperdek tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jasperdek prevents a body shot from Takajiri.
Jasperdek lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jasperdek is trying to control the action in half guard but Takajiri is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jasperdek is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Takajiri sees it coming and defends easily.
Jasperdek is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Takajiri slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jasperdek drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jasperdek as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Takajiri screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jasperdek! Nice submission victory there!
