Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DEAN RUSSO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, DEAN RUSSO! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Ferguson! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferguson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. RUSSO shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson shows good takedown defense. Ferguson swinging wilding here.
DEAN RUSSO seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. RUSSO will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. RUSSO shoots in and drives through. Ferguson sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DEAN RUSSO. That's going to take a lot out of him. RUSSO fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ferguson. Ferguson fails with an attempt to clinch.
RUSSO pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ferguson is out of range and RUSSO settles back down. Ferguson doesn't manage to clinch there - RUSSO circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ferguson. Ferguson taking a breather here. RUSSO gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ferguson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ferguson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but RUSSO does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ferguson wants to get back to his feet.

RUSSO is breathing heavily. RUSSO wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson tries to free his leg and advance position but RUSSO is retaining full guard. Ferguson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ferguson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Ferguson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has RUSSO pinned against the cage. RUSSO gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ferguson shoots and misses and RUSSO counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ferguson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. RUSSO is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. RUSSO moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. RUSSO is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. There's a bit of a scramble here and now RUSSO is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferguson can do anything to dispel that myth. Ferguson keeping moving, preventing RUSSO from controlling successfully. Ferguson trying to keep a closed guard but RUSSO is proving a slippery customer.
RUSSO stands and throws Ferguson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. RUSSO is putting a hurting on Ferguson here, landing some big shots from side control. Ferguson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. RUSSO tries to stand but Ferguson is controlling his head. RUSSO is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ferguson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ferguson has eaten all the pies! RUSSO working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. RUSSO looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DEAN RUSSO dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch but RUSSO swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ferguson fails to land the takedown. Ferguson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. RUSSO blocks a head kick by Ferguson.
RUSSO stuffs the takedown. DEAN RUSSO has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Ferguson. RUSSO shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ferguson as he jumps to the side. RUSSO changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ferguson tries to avoid it but RUSSO manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ferguson to the ground. Ferguson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. RUSSO has his takedown stuffed and Ferguson counters with a lovely shot to the body. DEAN RUSSO is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ferguson moves in looking to clinch but RUSSO pushes him off. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horrible takedown by Ferguson or perhaps it was just good defense by RUSSO which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferguson tries to clinch but RUSSO is having none of it. Excellent takedown into side control there by RUSSO. Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with RUSSO. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. RUSSO landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. RUSSO is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ferguson is trying to escape and RUSSO transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ferguson is forced to tap! Nice work there by RUSSO! Very nice indeed!
