Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hemfsford Jowars! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wallace Dobro! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jowars scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dobro looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Jowars pushes past his half guard into mount! Dobro blocking the ground and pound. Jowars throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dobro tries to hold on but Jowars pushes him away. Dobro avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jowars.
Dobro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dobro blocking the ground and pound. Dobro controls the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dobro can do anything to dispel that myth. Dobro is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dobro looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jowars throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jowars unloads with some shots from mount but Dobro bucks and avoids them well.
Jowars throwing strikes here but Dobro is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jowars working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jowars misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Dobro trying to punch from the bottom. They're landing but they're really not going to hurt Jowars. Jowars looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Dobro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jowars has control of Dobro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dobro regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jowars looking to ground and pound but Dobro is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Jowars has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dobro should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jowars has tightened it up now! Dobro should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
