Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Ginish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glenardo Gonzalezz! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ginish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gonzalezz but Gonzalezz pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ginish fails with the takedown. Ginish looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Ginish. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gonzalezz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ginish has a takedown stuffed. Ginish closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ginish lands in his opponent's guard. Gonzalezz looking for a guillotine here but Ginish defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ginish wants to pass the guard but Gonzalezz is keeping the position. Gonzalezz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ginish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gonzalezz is tightening it up a little... Ginish has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ginish reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ginish taps out! nice BJJ there by Gonzalezz!
