Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Rimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kenny Rimes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kenny Rimes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenny Rimes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Scott! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Rimes does no damage. Scott lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Rimes avoids the head kick by Scott.
Rimes throws a head kick that misses and Scott counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Scott prevents Rimes from standing back up.
Scott moves nicely into side control. Rimes is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Scott is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rimes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rimes is trying to buck Scott off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rimes is breathing heavily. Scott looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. This has been an exciting period of action! Scott decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rimes to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott tries a head kick but it misses.
Scott knocks Rimes to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Rimes is rocked!
It looks like Kenny Rimes has been cut. Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rimes keeps working. Oh Rimes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Scott working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rimes seems to have got his legs back now. Rimes bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! A punch combination from Scott misses. Rimes fails with the takedown and Scott counters with a head kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rimes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Scott counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott chips away with some ground and pound. Scott slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Scott scores with punches from side control. Scott advances to full mount. Rimes is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rimes is trying to stand up. Rimes is trying to escape the mount.
Rimes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Scott takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scott lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Scott putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Scott jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rimes manages to avoid the submission attempt. Scott wants to control but Rimes is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rimes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Scott takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Rimes to pass into mount. Rimes is trying to get back to his feet but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scott takes Rimes's back. Scott misses with an elbow to the head. Scott just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Scott dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kenny Rimes's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Scott looks for a takedown but Rimes sprawls well. Rimes fails to land with a series of punches.
Scott throws a body punch but Rimes moves out of range. Scott misses the shot to the body. Rimes swats away the attempt to clinch by Scott. Kenny Rimes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rimes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Scott has his takedown stuffed and Rimes counters with a series of strikes. Scott will be more careful next time no doubt. Rimes swings away with a body shot that misses
and Scott makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Scott darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Scott thows a huge punch but Rimes dodges it nicely.
Rimes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Scott throwing shots but Rimes is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rimes is looking to escape. Scott is trying to control the action in half guard but Rimes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rimes has hold of Scott's hands but Scott slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Rimes trying to control here.
Rimes is staying active underneath Scott, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Scott looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rimes pushes Scott off looking to stand but Scott dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Scott is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Scott has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. A nice elbow there by Scott. Scott trying to control but he's not successful this time. Scott lands a big shot there that rocks Rimes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Rimes is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Rimes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rimes has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Scott is working for a rear naked choke. Rimes is not defending it well and Scott has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Rimes refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Rimes's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michael Scott!
