Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conor Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carly Sarmiento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sarmiento's choice of entrance music: Bodies. Carly Sarmiento looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Conor Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carly Sarmiento! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sarmiento throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Sarmiento fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sarmiento throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Smith throws a head kick that Sarmiento semi-blocks.
Smith throws a series of punches but Sarmiento avoids them all with ease. Smith looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sarmiento will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sarmiento throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely. Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Sarmiento counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt. Sarmiento looks winded! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith throws a series of punches but Sarmiento moves out of range. Smith throws a head kick but Sarmiento moves out of range.
Smith wants to clinch up but Sarmiento keeps it at a distance. Sarmiento throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sarmiento lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarmiento dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Sarmiento gets a clinch. Sarmiento blocking some punches.

Smith lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sarmiento!
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target. Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sarmiento looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Sarmiento lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sarmiento clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sarmiento pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sarmiento has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Sarmiento throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease. Smith wants to clinch up but Sarmiento keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sarmiento closes the distance and lands a one-two. Smith lands a slapping body shot.
Smith throws a head kick that Sarmiento semi-blocks.
Sarmiento gets in close and instigates a clinch. Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sarmiento throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smith counters by clinching up. A frustrated look appears on Sarmiento's face as he tries to break the clinch. Smith breaks the clinch.

Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sarmiento listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sarmiento throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease. Smith is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Smith defending well as Sarmiento loads up on a big left hand. Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Sarmiento feints the counter takedown. Some wild striking there from Smith.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Sarmiento moves out of range easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Smith just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sarmiento's brow. Sarmiento's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sarmiento clinches up against the cage. Sarmiento has hold of one of Smith's legs. Smith is fighting the takedown attempt but Sarmiento gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Smith is wriggling around but Sarmiento manages to pass to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sarmiento lands with a punch from half guard. Smith missing with punches from the bottom.
Sarmiento looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith trying to control here.
Sarmiento slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carly Sarmiento dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sarmiento scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Smith throws a right and a left that both miss. No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sarmiento lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sarmiento. Sarmiento steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith. Conor Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smith bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Smith lands a head kick!
Sarmiento is rocked! Smith wants to clinch up but Sarmiento keeps it at a distance. Sarmiento is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him? Sarmiento ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away. Smith throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Sarmiento's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Smith dives in looking to finish as Sarmiento flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Smith's strikes! Smith is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Sarmiento's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Sarmiento was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conor Smith! A very excited looking Conor Smith made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. In defeat, Carly Sarmiento stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back'.
