The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis throws a sloppy body shot
and Stamatis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stamatis jabs Swanson right on the nose. Swanson blinks but takes it well.
Stamatis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Swanson pinned against the cage. Swanson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Swanson moves away from the strike by Stamatis.
Stamatis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stamatis checks a leg kick.
Stamatis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Swanson counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Angelos Stamatis has been cut.
Stamatis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stamatis is rocked!
Stamatis misses with a lunging right hand
and Swanson counters with a big left hand that crumples Stamatis! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Swanson!
John Swanson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
