Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Eye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Eye has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Eye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Thomas! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas closes the distance and pushes Eye back into the cage. Thomas lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Eye being controlled against the cage. Good body shot from Thomas.
Thomas digs a right hand into Eye's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Eye's gas tank. A short right from Thomas. Thomas leaning against his opponent.
Thomas lands a shot to the body. Eye jumps guard but Thomas stands there with Eye around his waist. Eye gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Thomas lands on the inside with an uppercut. Thomas is pushing Eye up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Thomas manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Thomas working some nice short punches in the clinch. Eye jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thomas walks away with a smile on his face. Eye gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tim Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eye shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thomas as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Eye. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Eye, pushing him back against the cage. Eye tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thomas smiles and moves away.
Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Eye. Thomas gets in close and instigates a clinch. Eye tries to pull guard but Thomas holds him up against the cage and eventually Eye drops back down to his feet.
Thomas lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Eye backwards. Thomas's coach down at The Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thomas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Eye tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thomas smiles and moves away.
Eye takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Thomas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Eye jumps guard but Thomas stands there with Eye around his waist. Eye gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Eye tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Thomas lands a shot to the body. A right hook to the body lands for Thomas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Eye is trying to stall.
Eye tries to pull guard but Thomas forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Eye is breathing heavily. Thomas lands a right hand that snaps the head of Eye backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Eye backwards. Eye tries to pull guard but Thomas holds him up against the cage and eventually Eye drops back down to his feet.
Thomas lands a body punch. Thomas breaks from the clinch.
Eye shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily. A thudding body kick lands there by Thomas!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Thomas has managed to clinch.
Thomas cracks Eye with a nice body shot. A nice left hand lands by Thomas.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas lands with a short head shot on the inside. Thomas lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Thomas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck for Eye with that takedown attempt. Thomas lands a left and a right that send Eye crashing to the mat, dazed. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Daniel Eye has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Eye steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Thomas. That one must have hurt. Thomas moves into the clinch. Thomas slows down the pace here.
Thomas pushes Eye back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Thomas breaks from the clinch.
Eye ducks right into an uppercut from Thomas.
Eye is rocked! BOOM! Thomas lands a beautiful left hook that drops Eye. Eye tries to recover but Thomas is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Eye lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Thomas! In his post fight interview, Tim Thomas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
