The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lachida avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wray shoots in and drives through. Lachida sprawls well. Lachida rushes Wray and presses him up against the cage. Wray breaks the clinch.
Wray closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wray is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Wray tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wray is trying to break free. Wray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lachida has managed to clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wray needs to keep his hands up - Lachida had a free shot at his head there.

Wray is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lachida has just dragged him back down to the mat. Wray is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lachida working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wray tries to bench press Lachida off him but Lachida keeps the position. Lachida working the body and head with strikes. Wray manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wray is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lachida has managed to free his arm - good work. Lachida moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wray thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lachida bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wray's guard. Lachida wants to control from the top but Wray keeps moving. Lachida forces his way into half guard. Lachida wants to take a breather but Wray is having none of it. Wray tries to get to full guard but Lachida has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lachida trying to mount his opponent but Wray defends it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wray shoots and misses and Lachida counters with a nice body kick.

Wray throws a combination that misses and Lachida holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wray tries to land knees in the clinch but Lachida avoids the damage to the body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lachida looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lachida prevents Wray from improving his position. Lachida is tying to control. Wray wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Wray wants to control but Lachida is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wray stuffs the takedown. Wray shoots in but Lachida avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lachida misses with a double jab.

Lachida is trying to control the action in half guard but Wray is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lachida seems to be working for a kimura but Wray defends the submission attempt. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wray looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Wray gets full guard. Wray looking to control.
Lachida trying to control the position from guard on top but Wray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wray had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lachida is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wray Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lachida's back instead. Wray is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lachida has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Lachida dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Wray shoots and misses and Lachida counters with a two punch combo. Lachida moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Lachida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wray's head. Wray throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lachida counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wray's guard now. Lachida working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wray's head. Wray is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wray keeping moving, preventing Lachida from controlling successfully. Lachida postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wray is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lachida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wray swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wray is looking for a triangle but Lachida pushes his legs off easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wray throws a combination that misses and Lachida counters with a series of strikes. Wray will be more careful next time no doubt. Lachida scores with a kick to the midsection. Lachida scores with a head kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lachida can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
