Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Warren Parker!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Parker slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Parker cracks Smith with a good jab.
Parker lands a right hook to the body.
Parker misses with a jab to the body
and Smith counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Smith with a poor takedown
and Parker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Parker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Parker's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Smith has gone for a leg lock! Parker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Smith's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parker defends well.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Parker in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

It seemed like Parker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Smith has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parker finds it's way round the side to connect with Smith's head.

Smith misses with a few strikes there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Parker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smith keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Parker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Parker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Warren Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Smith looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Smith is looking to wear down Parker with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Parker has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Parker tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Parker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A combination from Smith does no damage.

Parker jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.

Warren Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Parker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
