The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wallace bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Trail's head.

It looks like Cannondale Trail has been cut.
Trail walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wallace.
Wallace lands a nice hook to Trail's body. Trail takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Trail waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wallace.
Wallace scores with a push kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trail.

Wallace scores with a sloppy right hand. Trail should have avoided that one.
Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Trail.

Wallace has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wallace lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trail shoots in for a takedown but Wallace shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

As Trail backs away, Wallace returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Wallace lands a big right hand that sends Trail crashing to the mat! Wallace stays standing though and waves Trail back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wallace fakes the body blow, causing Trail to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Trail goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

A relieved looking Russell Wallace thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
