Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Walter Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Walter Frost has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walter Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rory Williams!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams gets tackled into the cage by Frost. Frost maintains the clinch.
Frost scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Williams is working for takedown but Frost is calmly controlling the position for now.
Williams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Frost avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Frost gets underhooks to prevent Williams's takedown attempt.
Walter Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Williams.
Frost lands a left hand that snaps the head of Williams backwards.
Frost tries to work over Williams's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Frost lands with a short shot to the head.

Frost works on Williams's body with a couple of short punches.
Frost doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Frost tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Frost tries to throw a body punch but Williams avoids it by throwing Frost back against the cage.
Nice body punch from Frost - that landed with a thud.
Williams tries to score a body lock takedown but Frost shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Williams drops down looking for an ankle pick but Frost pulls his leg out and moves away.

Frost has taken the fight to the clinch.

Frost lands a shoulder strike.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Frost creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Frost lands with a short shot to the head.
Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Frost pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Frost is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Frost lands a shot to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Frost.
Williams is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Frost is struggling to control the position.
Frost lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Williams can't get the takedown.
Williams goes for a takedown in the clinch but Frost prevents it.
Williams's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frost is pressed up against the cage. Williams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Frost down to the mat. Frost avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Frost manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Frost escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frost's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Frost duly obliges.
Frost wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Williams drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Frost defends it well.
Walter Frost is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Frost closes the distance and clinches.
Frost goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Frost lands a body shot in the clinch.

Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've been told by Frost's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Frost gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Frost lands a left hand.

Williams lands a takedown into guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Frost is retaining full guard.
Williams engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walter Frost dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Williams shoots in for a takedown but Frost shows good takedown defense.
Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Frost, which made it look bad.
Frost throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Williams stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Frost really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Frost takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frost manages to break the clinch.
Frost tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Williams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Frost works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Williams has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Frost is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Frost digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank.
Frost pushes Williams back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Frost pounces like a tiger and cracks Williams with a vicious hook! Williams is down but not out! Frost follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Walter Frost!
