Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Jensen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alk Manik! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Manik is trying to stand up here but Jensen is controlling him well. Jensen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manik keeps working. Manik wants to control but Jensen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jensen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jensen is trying to control the action in half guard but Manik is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jensen is really struggling to control Manik but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jensen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jensen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Manik sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jensen is trying to control. Manik wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Manik desperately trying to maintain half guard. Manik flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Manik wants to control but Jensen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Manik punching from the bottom.
Manik is refusing to be controlled, as Jensen sits in half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jensen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Manik keeping moving, preventing Jensen from controlling successfully. Manik keeping full guard, as Jensen tries to pass. Manik is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jensen trying to control but Manik is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jensen advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jensen is on top in guard.

Jensen has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Manik! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jensen gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
