Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gil Blas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooh a lovely combination from Sanchez sends Blas down but not out. Sanchez dives into side control looking to finish.
Blas is rocked!
Sanchez wants to stand but Blas is controlling his arm.
Oh Blas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blas is trying to get back to his feet.
Blas seems to have got his legs back now.
Sanchez wants to stand but Blas has his arm trapped.
Sanchez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blas to his feet.
Blas throws a sloppy head kick and Sanchez moves out of range easily.
A jab from Sanchez misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Sanchez as he connects with a hook.
Blas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Sanchez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sanchez misses with a hook. Blas ducked under it nicely.
Blas moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez.
Nice elbow from Blas.
Sanchez avoids the elbow strike from Blas, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blas tries to work over Sanchez's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sanchez is trying to break free.
Sanchez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sanchez tries to circle away but Blas has him pinned against the cage.
Blas lands a nice knee to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Sanchez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sanchez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Blas lands a shot to the body.
Blas jumps guard but Sanchez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Blas tries to land a knee to the head but Sanchez blocks with his arms.
Blas breaks from the clinch.
Sanchez lands with an uppercut that bounces Blas off the cage and back into range.
Blas tries to clinch but Sanchez moves out of range.
Blas doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Blas moves out of range as Sanchez strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Blas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blas walks into a left hand.
Blas wants to clinch.
It seemed like Sanchez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Blas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sanchez tries to break free but Blas pushes him back against the cage.
Blas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sanchez throws a right and a left that Blas avoids nicely.
Blas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice combination there by Sanchez.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Blas on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sanchez works the jab nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez steps in with a hook that catches Blas right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Sanchez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Blas looks absolutely devastated.
